21 years experience in the Hospitality industry, working with Sheraton, Hyatt and Marriott Hotel chains both in Australia and Indonesia.

Previously a qualified nursing sister, I joined the Sheraton Hotel group as Housekeeping Floor Supervisor as part of the pre-opening team for Sheraton Darwin. Spent three months as a Room Attendant at Ayers Rock before opening the hotel. Before joining Marriott I spent time at;

• Hyatt On Collins, Melbourne
• Sheraton Brisbane Hotel
• Sheraton Laguna and Sheraton Nusa Dua, Bali, Indonesia

Progressing through Housekeeping, I was promoted to my first Department Manager role as Executive Housekeeper at the Hyatt on Collins in Melbourne (now known as the Grand Hyatt).

I joined Marriott International in 1998 as Director of Services as part of the pre-opening team for the Brisbane Marriott Hotel. After transferring to Human Resources in 2000, I joined their international training cadre in 2001, delivering management development programs for our properties throughout Asia Pacific, including; Pakistan, Vietnam, Malaysia, Guam, Singapore, Indonesia, India and, of course, Australia.

I transferred to the Surfers Paradise Marriott Resort & Spa in 2004 and in August 2006 took on the role of Area Director of Human Resources for Queensland.
