We are an online community for hospitality industry workers. We work together with government, industry employers, and organisations to provide training, resources and opportunities for workers.
Our mission is to be Australia's largest, free online information and resource community for hospitality and tourism workers. By providing you with the latest information, resources, news, and job opportunities.
'Know your industry' is a new series that we created to find out about all those hospitality and tourism organisations and associations and why you need to know about them.
Our "Dealing with..." Series will look at a number of issues and behaviours concerning workers today. These subjects include sexual harassment, discrimination, abuse, hostile work environments and so forth.
It is our aim to give you up to date information from industry and government organisations, in an effort for you to be able to deal with these situations rationally, if they should happen to you or someone that you know.
Charlie catches up with Warren from Anti Discrimination Commission Queensland and talks about Sexual Harassment in the workplace in the first episode of our new series.
This news is old. Why did you post about it?
Probably because we're not as cool as you.
Can I link to Hospitality Crew?
Of course! Don't even bother asking.
Do I need to give my e-mail address when commenting?
Actually you need to be a registered user to comment or post but it will always be kept private and never shown or sold. You can even put a fake one if you're into that sort of thing.
Hi everyone,
People ask me, what is Hospitality Crew?
My usual "elevator speil" is ....... "it is an information and resource site for workers in the hospitality and tourism industry, providing materials and support to empower workers. Enabling them to increase their skills sets thereby, maximising their employers profits and obtaining better job opportunities and growth.
But that's not all. It's hard to fit a monolith site into a few words at networking functions or meetings when you have to get around to 50 people in 20 minutes. At least they give you 3 minutes in speed dating to get your message across.
That being said, Hospitality Crew has been created as an online community to raise the industry profile as a great industry to work in and benefit workers and employers alike.
The Skills Shortage is a hot topic at the moment. We sent Charlie off to visit with Robyn Keenan from QTIC to find out more.
